29 November 2024

29 November 2024, Bangkok, Thailand - Asset World Foundation for Charity (AWFC), under Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), Thailand’s leading integrated lifestyle real estate group, collaborated with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and business partners to launch the 11th annual “GIVE GREEN CBD 2024” project. This year’s theme, "Gifts for a Sustainable Future,” highlights the foundation’s commitment to community and environmental sustainability through its charitable initiatives: “Pun Dee” via “AWC’s Charity Market Around,” “Pun Fun” through “A Charity Christmas Tree,” and “Pun Sook” through the city half-marathon “CBD We Run.” A portion of the proceeds will also support “Pun Rak,” environmental care initiatives in Bangkok. The campaign encourages unity among Thais to drive sustainability and give back to the community. The project was officially launched at The Empire, presided over by Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt.

Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, stated, “The Bangkok Metropolitan is proud to support the ‘GIVE GREEN CBD 2024’ project. These meaningful activities - whether it is the eco-friendly Christmas tree, the charity market, or the ‘CBD We Run’ event, bring joy and a stronger sense of community while improving public spaces. My heartfelt thanks to AWC and its partners for their enduring dedication to this impactful initiative.”

Mrs. Wallapa Traisorat, Chief Executive Officer and President, Asset World Corp Public Company Limited (AWC), and a board member of The Asset World Foundation for Charity, remarked, “The Foundation and AWC extend our heartfelt thanks to the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and all our business partners for their unwavering support. Over the past decade, the GIVE GREEN CBD project has become a symbol of collaboration between the public and private sectors, creating lasting value for Bangkok and its communities. This festive season, we invite everyone to join us in spreading joy and making a positive impact until January 2025.”

“GIVE GREEN CBD 2024” is an annual event organized by the AWFC, continuing its commitment to fostering sustainability in local communities and Thai society. This initiative unites the public and private sectors in “Building a Better Future” under the concept of “Gifts for a Sustainable Future.” The event consists of three key activities:

  • A Charity Christmas Tree: An eco-friendly Christmas tree will be displayed at The Empire under the concept “Connecting Relationships, Creating Sustainability.” The tree is crafted using locally sourced, environmentally friendly materials, giving it a unique and beautiful design. In collaboration with “The GALLERY,” a social enterprise by AWC, the materials used for the tree will later be upcycled into products that can generate income for the community. Part of the proceeds from this activity will support AWFC’s ‘Pun Fun’ educational initiative. Visitors can admire the tree and participate in various workshops until January 12, 2025.
  • AWC’s Charity Market Around: A social impact market featuring a variety of products, including household items, home decor, wellness products, local crafts, and eco-friendly goods. The market brings together over 150 vendors, partners, communities, and charitable organizations who are showcased through initiatives like The GALLERY, reConcept and more. The market is held on the G and M floors of The Empire. Part of the proceeds will contribute to AWFC’s “Pun Dee” project, which supports religious and cultural preservation efforts.
  • CBD We Run Charity Half Marathon: Taking place on January 19, 2025 under a “green run” concept, this eco-conscious run features recycled materials for shirts and silicone water bottles to minimize waste. Held at The Empire, the event features three categories: a 4.2 km Fun Run, a 10.5 km Mini Marathon, and a 21 km Half Marathon. Registration details will be available on the CBD We Run Facebook page. Proceeds after expenses will support the ‘Pun Rak’ project in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to improve the city’s environment.
